Pindah gigi juga harus pakai perasaan. Terlebih buat pemakai motor bebek (selain yang pakai kopling manual). Jangan meniru-niru pembalap sunguhan, pindah gigi secara mendadak. Soalnya banyak sekali penuggang motor bebek di jalanan (termasuk gue sendiri) memindah gigi dengan sangat kasar disadari ataupun tidak.

Klep Bocor dilihat dari Busi

Sudah berkali-kali ganti busi, tapi umurnya nggak pernah panjang. Padahal, settingan karburator sudah standar-dar. Kenapa ya...?

Yang bikin busi cepat mati biasanya adalah karena bensin kelewat boros atau karena overheat akibat minimnya gas bakar. Walaupun karburator sudah disetel standar dan sedemikian rupa, namun busi selalu saja cepat mati.

Kalau ini terjadi, maka kemungkinan besar disebabkan oleh kebocoran di seputar bibir payung klep masuk atau buang. Hal ini mengakibatkan campuran bensin dan udara menjadi tak ideal. keadaan ini yang bikin elektroda busi sulit mematik gas bakar. Hasilnya, motor jadi kehilangan tenaga karena kompresi/tekanan bocor.

Pentingnya Sedia Ban Dalam Cadangan

Ternyata ada hikmahnya pengalaman beberapa kali ban bocor di jalan. Jadi bukan cuma satu dua kali aku mengalami ban bocor di jalan. He..he...he.... Dari yang cuma ketusuk paku udah beberapa kali, ban dalam terlipat lalu sobek, sampai ban meledak luar dalam.
Tentunya bukan aku bangga mengalami beberapa kali ban bocor. Tapi karena hal itu kini menjadi pelajaran berharga buatku. Yaitu, sedia ban dalam sebelum bocor. Untuk mengantisipasi apabila ban bocor parah (robek) dan kebetulan tukang tambal ban nggak punya ban dalam yang sesuai untuk sepeda motor kita. Apalagi buat yang sering melakukan perjalanan jauh seperti aku. Terutama jika motor kita menggunakan ban yang berbeda dengan yang ada di pasaran.
